The birth of this church comes from a legend. The legend of the plowman. It is assumed that a pious hand buried Our Lady of Quezac (statue of the Virgin and Child) to save her from barbarous Saracen invasions between the 8th and 10th centuries. Early eleventh, she is found by a plowman. After several unsuccessful attempts to move the statue, a church will be built at the place of discovery. This building will be consecrated by the Bishop of Mende, Aldebert I Peyre and become parish church. The porch was classified in 1930.
