Located in the center of a tiny cemetery perched on top of the Roc St Gervais overlooking the hamlet of the Douzes, this Romanesque chapel is still the subject of a pilgrimage in July. Small rustic building, it includes a short two-span nave, articulated on a narrow apse by a projecting arch resting on thick pilasters. The nave remodeled in the 19th century is spread over two levels, following the slope of the rock. Outside, some walls carry bows. The primitive walled entrance was in the south. A small bell-tower rises above the modern entrance, while a second isolated campanile stands at the edge of the cliff about thirty meters east of the chapel. The deceased of the hamlet of the Twelve are always carried, with arms of man until their burial in this cemetery of millennial origin. (Text Philippe Chambon) Access to the sanctuary is a fairly steep path.
