LAC DE VILLEFORT - VILLEFORT

At 2,5 kilometers from the city center, the lake of Villefort is a vast pond of water of 127ha, ideal for all the pleasures of the water: fishing, supervised sand beach in summer and a nautical base which proposes many activities : canoeing, windsurfing, pedal boats, etc. Other activities are also practicable as hiking, with the tour of the lake, specially designed for walking. Supervised swimming in July and August.
Lac de Villefort has been labeled Blue Flag since 2010.
Ranked in first category, the lake is home to brown and rainbow trout, minnow and chub. It should be noted that brown trout can reach remarkable sizes and weights (beyond 5 kg and up to 14.3 kg, which is a French record)
