Peatlands are closely linked to the presence of springs, water tables or lakes. These environments, resulting from the last glaciations, are extremely fragile and sensitive to any disturbance in their hydrological functioning.
Other non-determining habitats but just as important in the functioning of these wetlands are also
present: acidic low marshes with various Sedges or narrow-leaved Cottongrass, blue Molinia peat bogs, streams,
wet meadows and lawns. The site is also a place of passage and rest for migratory birds.

The pond welcomes many fishermen from May to September, but also hikers. Please respect the natural environments during your visit.
