L’ARBRE AUX ABEILLES - PONT DE MONTVERT - SUD MONT LOZERE

The association “l'Arbre aux Abeilles”, founded on May 27, 2008, has the official purpose of: “Undertaking communication, research and creation actions based on traditional know-how linked to trunk hives.”

The association, on Fridays in summer, offers guided and independent tours to discover the trunk apiaries of the valley of the black bee.

Visits to traditional trunk apiaries: presentation of traditional beehives, information and documentation on black bees, tasting of honey and traditional mead, addresses of beekeepers in traditional mode and black bee breeders.

Activities offered by appointment: conferences, documentary films, introductory game in bee biology for children, initiation workshops, participatory beehive restoration projects, storytelling workshops in public places.
