This small caussenard village appears in the possessions of the monastery of Sainte-Enimie from the twelfth century. It presents all the characteristics of the caussenarde architecture. A small walk in the village will allow you to discover this limestone architecture. The houses are generally built without wooden frame with a system of stone vaults. The lauze limestone roofs are extremely heavy. The Lauze is extracted in plate of 5 cm thick in quarries of the causse of Sauveterre. Cut and calibrated one by one along their length, they are simply laid flat on a bed of pebbles that covers the vault. The slabs fit by their own weights, the widest at the base of the roof then decreasing in size to the ridge. The Lauzes must overlap on 2/3 of their surface. From the village from the footpath of the Ferme de Pessades, and take a walk around the megaliths of the Causse de Sauveterre.
